Due to the explosive growth of the Internet and increasing demand for multimedia information on the web, streaming video over the Internet has received tremendous attention from academia and industry. Internet streaming video poses many challenges, and extensive research has been conducted in this area. This seminar is aimed at discussing the contributions in the field of streaming video over the Internet. To address this topic with the necessary background, the talk will cover the two key areas of Future Multimedia Internet: (1) IP QoS to Quality of Experience Management; (2) and next generation multimedia services: from stroboscopic to immersive video.
