강의계획서

생명과학을 전공하는 학생들뿐만 아니라 자연과학을 전공하는 학생들을 위한 생물학 입문 과목이다. 생명체에 대한 기본 현상과 원리를 강의를 통해 이해시키고, 생물학에 대한 관심을 유도하여 생명세계에 대한 기본적인 안목을 갖출 수 있도록 한다. 본 강의를 통해 학생들은 생물학적 관점에서 현상을 탐구하고 비판적으로 분석할 수 있는 이론과 방법론을 배운다. 생명의 근원이 되는 물질들을 기초로 하여 세포의 구조와 기능, 그리고 에너지 생성과정과 신호전달에 관한 기초적인 지식을 중점적으로 다루고자 한다. 세포안의 화학 구조들과 기능을 바탕으로 하여 생명체의 기본 개념을 익히고 현재 가장 주목을 받고 있는 생명 공학 등의 다양한 주제들을 소개하고자 한다. 사람을 포함한 고등 생물들을 좀 더 심층적으로 이해하고, 과학의 중요부분으로써의 생물학을 인식하고, 생물학적 소양을 갖게 함을 목적으로 한다.
